Was sleeping heavily and thought I heard a clunk, but kept sleeping anyway.
Got up around 4:30 to use the facility and when I came back my wife was up.
I asked, "Are you having trouble sleeping?"
She said, "I think I broke my nose!"
"What?" "How?" I asked
She said our daughter called her and when she walked in the hall she got disoriented and ran right into the wall.
"Are you sure it's broken," I asked?
"Yeah," she said, "I heard it crack and it's all swollen."
I looked at it and sure enough she smacked it hard.
"Do you think it will bruise," she asked?
"Oh, definately," I said, "by Monday, you're going to look like a Racoon."
"Oh, great," was all she could mutter.
I went down to get her some ice in a zip-lock bag and wrapped it in a hand towel from the cabinet.
I laid down next to her after I turned on the TV.
I tried to go back to sleep and as I was drifting off she said, "Ohh, ooohhh, ahhhh, there's something on my face!"
I looked up and she shoved the towel-wrapped baggy over to me.
I asked, "What is it?" and looked at the towel.
Ha, it was a stinkbug, hahahaha!
They come in this time of year and I guess it crawled in with the hand towels.
"Wow, it's not your morning today, is it?" I asked.
We both had a laugh about that one.
Then she said, "Well, it's 5:15 and we're both up, what do you want to do?"
"Well," I said, "It's too early to make coffee, what do you want to do?"
"Want to fool around," she asked, "the kids aren't up yet?"
"Ahhh, hello, you don't need to ask me twice!"
Hmmm, so there's the broken nose, scratchy bug, kids aren't up yet, do I get the night light or not morning glory story.
