My right hip flexor gives me problems when I do squats. It makes it impossible to do them at times. I am working on stretching it out to get it loosened up. I also started using the electronic muscle stimulator before bed to see if that helps. Does anyone have any tips on better stretches that have worked for them? Or other thoughts?

I try to avoid that like the plague but I can add it in and see if it helps. I didn't think about trying that. Thanks.
I also notice it cramp up at times when I am on my motorcycle. Makes it fun flying down the highway with my leg hanging trying to get it to let go/loosen up.Comment

I'm not sure if it will help but I figured it couldn't hurt. I was thinking along the same principle as how individuals use it for lower back pain on long car trips. Just something to help promote blood flow and movement to help stimulate the flexor. Thoughts? Sounded logical to me but I'm open to other ideas.Comment

No groin pain. Just the front of my hip more towards the outside. Presses are fine as well as other exercises. Just squats get it for some reason. It's not so much a cramp just like it's really tight and needs some serious stretching. It hurts right as I hit the top at the end of my rep. Thanks for the input!Comment

Would still think that you should do some good psoas stretches, after all, the psoas muscle is what forms the "hip flexors". I did not have back pain either when I had hip flexor issues but it turned out I had hip issues though. Now I do have the back probelms too.Comment
