I got two today. Interesting bcoz they both came outside the gym from some younger dudes who pump iron and were kinda big. Sure, get tons of compliments in the gym. BUT, most young guys I see outside of the gym who are pretty big usually give me the evil eye and go immediate ILS - I dunno if to try to impress me or make themselves look bigger haha.

Anywayyyss, guy #1 I see outside Walmart in the parking lot. As I'm walking in, he passes by, stops and asks where I work out at. I tell him. He says you're the biggest guy I've ever seen in real. I laughed, and told him he needs to get out more haha.

Guy #2 I seen at the gas station inside at the counter. He was behind me, looked to be mid-late 20's and was pretty big himself - he was a little shorter than me and looked to be mid 220's I'd guess. He asks me if I competed. I told him I used to but not anymore. He said looks like I was ready to do a show bcoz my legs were so cut & veiny. Guess he was talking calves bcoz that's all one could see with my knee-length shorts haha. So he was a cool cat - we got talking about where we work out and how long we been hitting the iron blah blah. He didn't seem gay, but if he was his hopes were blown when we got outside and he see's my wife & son in the car haha.

Cool to finally come across some younger brothers in iron outside the gym who doesn't feel threatened by my size and come right out and shoot the shit. Like I said, I can't count the times - mainly in bars/clubs back in the day - when young dudes who hit the iron go ILS in a second when they seen me - funny shit. Funniest part would be when they do that, and their girl looks at him then me and rolls their eyes at their boyfriend while he isn't looking as if to say "Yeah I know - he's a tard".lol

I always give out props to anyone who looks good, especially anyone who appears over 40 bc its that much harder. One of best friends is 42 6'2" @264# w/ abs. Total fn freak, he could slap on some pro tan and place top 2 in most any masters shows around. He's just too busy with work to do a proper contest prep but he is the biggest non IFBB pro Ive ever met

when i was my biggest, a lean 225, i got a job at a casino. i walked into the vp's office and he was an ex nfl offensive line. i swelled out my chest till it hurt and i still looked small next to him. and it did not stop there. a guy just walked into the employees only area and i put out my hand shoulder height and it contacted him right in the nipple. he was 8 inches taller than me and probably over 300 pounds with abs. i said to him "not like i can stop you if you really want to but you cant be here." he smiled and was really nice and explained he was expected by the vp. he was there trying to get him to be in an arena league team. i escorted him to the vp and he said to the vp. this guy dont get scared does he? the vp said nope he dont.

I'm so small I get scared down by the river. There's a nesting pair of eagles there and they mistake me for a small snake or something and try to carry me off.

I always feel small even when I know I'm much bigger than whoever. I forget, or don't recognize my own size frequently. People always call me big guy and I'm wondering who they are talking about.
But Monday night my when my wife got home from work she said some of the guys she works with were talking about training, flexing their biceps, comparing. She said she walked by and laughed at them and told them my arms were bigger round than the cantaloupe she buys, and made this round form with her hands. I laughed and told her I think she was exaggerating a bit. So she got the tape. Cantaloupe 20 1/4, me, left arm 21 exactly, right arm 21 1/4.
I guess she was right.

At shy of 5'8" I don't get overwhelmed with the "man you big" compliments but I recently received my favorite type of nod.

It is one thing to have on a T shirt or a Polo and have someone say "man your big" followed by the obligatory "how much can you bench?' I hate that part, oh well.

I went out to dinner and wore a Hawaiian shirt. It covered me to the forearms and a young guy step up to me and said. Man, you have some serious size. I love when I get big enough that it doesn't matter if you have a sweatshirt or a button down on, you look jacked.

I am hovering around 193 so I still have room to put on 10 to 12 more pounds without getting that uncomfortable feeling. I can't wait.

i'm small...lol... so no big guy comments... but i always get the workout and nutrition questions. along with compliments more along the lines of "your 49!!!.. your body looks 20!" ..lol

weighing in at a little below 190.. at 5'10"..but fairly lean
