Security is now much easier for Pix

There are apps and website that you can run you pix through to take off you personal and GPS info but I just discovered that you can now do it right on your own computer with a Windows features.

So when you are snapping pix to show of you stash of vials with gramma's perfume you can do it without having your exact GPS location and personal info attached.

Just use explorer to go to the folder of the picture you want to wipe.

Right click to highlight the picture.

Go to the "properties" tab where it will show all the photo info.

Click the "Details" tab

Now at the bottom Windows has an highlighted link that says:

"Remove properties and Personal information"

It gives you the option of creating a new copy of the picture with the information removed or just removing the information on the one you have right clicked.

Just hit "Select all" and wipe it, or you can even customize which information you want removed and what you want to remain in a 2nd option.

Good info D thanks. There's a setting on all phones (well most anyway) that allows you to turn the GPS info off for pics. Much easier to do that to nip-it-in-the-bud. That way ya never even have to mess with any of your pics later.

I use my phone to Navigate constantly so it isn't practical. I have to have my GPS on. Plus you can take off all the info not just GPS info. There is a whole plethora of info available on your pix.
