    14 months post surgery

Well today 14 months after my shoulder surgery I was able to get 11 Reps on 225. Using the calculator I am back over 300lbs max. Although I am not going to confirm my max at my age, it is nice to know I am basically recovered.

I am basically back to where I was pre surgery. It probably sounds pussy to a lot of the ironheads here by I have always had a terrible bench, my max being 345 even when I was younger and healthier.

I am taking it as a win!
The older I get the better I used to be.

That's awesome news, bro! I won't even come close to throwing that much over my head anymore. I'm 43 and my days of 1 rep max lifting are behind me. Glad you're feeling 100% again

Great to hear D. IIWY I wouldn't take any risks going under 8-10 reps, and that's with stellar form. No point really.

I have an appt to see an orthopedic Thurs. Curious to see what the X ray shows. MRI is next I believe. Hope I have some good luck like you with it. What exactly was your diagnosis again and what type of surgery did you have?

Glad to hear Dakota. Shoulders seem to take forever to heal. It messes with my head.

            Dakota,

Awesome! Shoulder can be a real PIA. What procedure did you have done?

            BTW - check your PM's

I had everything done. The typical rotator cuff, also tendon repair, inpingement (they ground the bone down) arthritis, and ground the bursis down as well.

Remarkably you cannot look at my should and see a scar. The cuts were minute.

Followed by TB500, BPC 157 and I am still on gh. So far so good, I am happy with the results other than have a lopsided trap

That's pretty freaking great bud. So glad your recovery has gone well. That must have taken a lot of discipline for you to hold back for so long. Good going bro.

That’s awesome! You’re not alone, I’ve never been strong in bench press. Dumbbells I did pretty good but flat bar was never my strong point.
