New Chris Cormier documentary
It's called Chris Cormier: I am the Real Deal. It came out today. I just watched it - good stuff. Amazing what he accomplished being so addicted to drugs. Wow I had no idea how bad he was in it - coke, nubain, weed, alcohol. He said he was stoned 4 days ew throughout his career. I don't think most knew, except his close friends and in the pro bb circle, of HOW bad he was into it. His two best friends and training partners Flex and Rico McClinton flat out told him if he don't stop, they want nothing to do with him. They thought he would die from how much and consistent he was partying doing drugs.
Yates knew too, and seen his potential. For Yates to invite him to England to train bcoz he thought he had what it took to be a Mr O if he was clean is saying something. What he coulda achieved will never be known, and everyone, including all the best pros of the 90's & early 2000's, said Chris NEVER reached his peak for even one show, due to his partying life style. Man that's gotta be a helluva regret to live with, knowing what you realistically "might" have done, and Chris himself knows it.
