Guns kill people, I can see why Virginia is taking the positive and necessary steps to get rid of them in that state. I'm hoping Newsome does the same out here in California for all guns, even the ones that kill poor innocent animals.

If you’re against them then just don’t buy them. Please leave the rest of us that are responsible alone.

              This x1k^^^^^^^^^^^^^

That cannot be a serious comment.

Here are irrefutable facts regardless of your political persuasion.
Roughly 15k “homicides” per year in the US.
Most of those are gang related, followed by suicide, followed by accidental discharges (no guns “just go off”, human error every time), overwhelmingly were illegal arms.

According to the FBI, CDC, and even Harvard concur that firearms prevent between 300k to over a million crimes from even happening, and minimally several hundred thousand are used to stop a crime while its happening.

So people in favor of gun control prefer to allow at least a million criminal acts to occur, so that they can “prevent” less than 15k murders, mostly gang on gang. That’s some faulty logic for ya.

And then people should know that when those facts are considered, the US has one of the lowest gun crime societies in the world per capita. Taken deeper, if you remove New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Detroit, then the US has almost no gun crime.

              Sorry... rant off...

My feelings are that we need to keep guns out of the hands of nutcases and gang bangers. I have no ideas on the best way to go about it I grew up in a culture where nearly everyone had guns used for recreation and not for killing each other. I got my first gun for Christmas from my dad when I was 12, a Remington 5 shot pump 20ga. he showed me all the proper ways to use a firearm safely. I haven't hunted in years but I enjoy target shooting and shooting at a range now and then. I feel that I personally should have the right to own guns. lol, a guy I know at the gym shoots skeet in competition, he recently bought a shotgun for 50k. He can afford it, his day job is spine and brain surgery.

DAMN! 50K! I gotta let my wife know that my $1,500 firearms are on the cheap. Actually most of my firearms are just practical guns under $1,000. I can't imagine ever hunting with such an expensive firearm. It would only be for show at the skeet range to watch your friends slobber over it.
