    Extreme Stretching

I use extreme stretching as per DC style training with many of my trainees. One thing I have the majority of them to before there stretches is, irregardless of the lift being done, they do a back-down 20 rep (not full out) set IMMEDIATELY following their last movement for the bodypart being worked and IMMEDIATELY before their stretch. This is especially helpful if you have been stretching for awhile and the fascia has already loosened up some.

Ok it's late and I had a bit to drink ealier.... So say I'm benching, Right after I'm done benching (usually stick to the 2-8 range) do a light 20 reps and then follow with routine stretches? After each set? and this is beneficial because it stretches ligaments and tendonds better?

I often neglect stretching b/t sets, although I'm aware of it's benefit. I think that this thread will prompt me to begin doing it agin.

i try to stretch as much as possible between sets and maybe do some warmup sets (IE: between bench sets I'll do real light incline DB's to keep muscles warm and get the stabalizers kickin in). Seems to work very well for me to just continuously stay active and keep stretching between sets on every major lift I do (Bench, Dl's, squats)
