Proton Mail Phishing
Protonmail is being bombarded with bogus emails and phishing attempts to get your info. Be careful. Some of them are pretty sophisticated and look real.
If in doubt just delete! Better not to even open it if you don't recognize the sender. Governments try to hack PM too. They are not admired by many regulators due to the encryption that even the best government computer folks can't unscramble. The PM creators themselves claim that THEY can't even hack or access their own system, no back doors were created in the design purposefully. |
Yea, I've been getting a lot of these. I send the links through an expansion service, lop off any tracking portion, and then put in usernames and passwords like "gofuckyourselves."
|
They've been at it for years. I know a few guys that opened shit they shouldn't have. Be smart and don't open anything if you don't know who it's from. If you do, don't open any links.

I've been getting ones at least once a week saying "your account is about to be terminated" for whatever reason and ask me to click on some link to verify if I wanna keep it open. Looks shady af so I just delete.

Anything that doesn't come from someone you can verify. DELETE.

my proton account was hacked and I lost $$$ using them.. They suck and its not as secure as they say it is.. I deleted the account and use other emails now.

I just checked mine last night first time in a long ass time. Had about 20 spam messages - account going to be deleted, verify your info to keep account, etc. Didn't even bother to read one of them - if I don't know who dafuq it is, BOOM deleted and trash dumped. Common sense - you open an email and click on a link you can be jacked bigtime.

I get the same ones. I just delete them right away.
|
The same was going on with tutanota as well. I just delete 'em.
