Anyone else struggle with heartburn/bloat?

So, for the past five years or so I just have no morning appetite. I attribute it to some sort of heart burn type thing as I will have it through the night. Obviously, it is effected by food choices, beer, spices etc...will make it worse. However, I have never been able to eliminate it, only degrees of bloat.

I have my bed tilted and that helps for sure and I take some over the counter antacids as well but it may be more out of habit. It may be possible that a complete dietary change may do the trick but I am not sure I am willing to do that. Actually, I know I'm not.

Any ideas or suggestions,
Hawk

You don't use Cialis, do you? Just in case, it causes terrible heartburn for me. I simply can't take it even at low doses.

i have never been able to totally eliminate it... but my problems seemed to be helped a lot by betaine HCl .. adding extra acid... lots of people have less acid as they get older and it can be the real issue.

betaine HCl .. really help with gas ..my wife was very happy about that

Actually, I do am while I am in my mid 40s it would seem that the issue probably started a few years ago about the same time I started using Cialis but I never would have made the connection.

I am assuming Viagra is ok?

150mg Ratinidine tablet. OtC, super cheap too.
I have chronic acid reflux and this stuff is designed to reduce the amount of digestive fluid you body pumps into you stimach.
It is not an antacid. Antacids just neutralize some of the acid thats already present in your stomach. Kinda like treating the problem after the fact.
Ratinidine tabs are preemptive acid blockers which absorbs into your bloodstream traveling to the acid pumps lining your stomach. They signal tge acid pumps to slow down the output of digestive fluids.
I strongly recommend you take my advice. It wont kill you to invest less than $5 on some Wal-Mart brand tabs for a lifetime of relief is a good investment return I'd say.
Take one when you first wake up and wait 30 mins. Youll feel fine for hours without any bad sides.
Let us know if that works for you.

And yes, cialis will burn hole in my stomach every time!!

I just checked and rantinidine is what I have been using but apparently according to you Beef Newton I have been fighting a losing battle by using 20mg ugl Cialis EOD. I had no clue, but it makes sense. I stopped using drol as it caused heartburn but had no idea about the love pills.

Yea, just look up Cialis and heartburn. It's a "smooth muscle" thing. I wish I didn't have the problem, because I really like the effects. Just having my dick brush up against my underwear feels great.

Is this a common side? Was getting ready to order some Cialis for muscle pumps but if heartburns common side then no thank you....

You just have to use it and see. Most don't have the problem. Lucky me.

Well, i sure hope that solves your problem.
Yeah, ive suffered chronic acid reflux for about a dozen yrs and i actually get script strength version of it from the VA.
But, the thing with cialis is it gets me everytime!!!
Even if i use ranitidine right before taking cialis....i still get a pit of fire in my stomach that creeps up into my throat.
It makes working out and having sex and just about everything else miserable.
I sure hope this thread helps you out Hawk.

I appreciate you chiming in as I thought I thought I was alone. But, now I have something new to consider. Mine is not near as bad as yours but usually in the night when I wake up to pee two or three times I have to take a Tums. Then on occasion I will cough and want to hurt not often but usually I am just bloated and don't eat till lunch time. Fortunately I didn't take a Cialis today but I just thought of them as sex candy.

I will report back in a few days.

Im in my 50's and have the same problem in the morning. Not so much appetite but a fucked up stomach and bad acid reflux. I found if I take one of the chewable pepcid tablets it makes a big difference. Ive tried a bunch of stuff over the years and just recently tried the pepcid , seems to work for me better than anything else.

I discovered that some of the liquid products that I was using caused me severe heart burn and acid reflux. Maybe start there.

It turns out it was the Cialis, but my stomach is still a bit off so I take a little Pepto and I am GTG.

Oh man, I forgot about the Bicardi burn from liquid orals. I haven't done them in a while thank goodness as they would set my throat on fire.
