TBT - 1980
A young, 185 lb 16 y.o who dropped football & wrestling bcoz he got bit by the bodybuilding bug. I started working out at the Y at 14, then at 16 started at the Nautilus Club. This is the last time my waist would be smaller than b52's.
I hit each bdpt twice ew, and my routine was something like this IIRC: Mon/Thurs - chest/back/shoulders ------------------------------------------- Bench press, incline press, dips, db flyes Wide grip pullups or pulldowns, barbell or t-bar row, Nautilus pullover Barbell military press or Universal machine press, db side laterals, upright row Tues/Sat - legs/arms ----------------------------------------- Squat, leg ext, leg curl, standing toe raises Barbell curl, db curl, preacher curl or concentration curl, pushdowns, skull crushers or french press, tricep dips I rarely did deads or shrugs - don't know why. I honestly can't even remember ever being sore other than an occasional dom after leg day. The recovery of youth - so envious now. My life was school, pump iron, tuna sandwiches, tuna sandwiches and more tuna sandwiches, raw eggs, Joe Weider 90% Plus protein powder. I would finish the day by going over my gf's house - do some homework, eat her moms meatloaf (best ever), and banging her in the basement listening for her mom & dad's every footstep upstairs, then home to sleep around 9:30. The 80's baby - it was a great time to be young. Last edited by Dawgpound_Hank; 12-26-2018 at 10:58 PM.. |
