Had an eventful vacation

I had a great vacation, an epiphany, and took a complete change of course. My wife and I flirted with buying some property in my home state while we vacationed. The day we were to put in an offer on it, another offer was accepted. We were disappointed THEN fate dropped a dream property in my lap at a steal of a price.

I had a birthday while I was on vacation and realized if I don't do things now I will be too old. I bought it.

I bought 70 acres and an off grid cabin. I returned home and arranged for my Operations Manager of 20 years and his son (a new college grad and a new hire) to take over management of my company. I am lining up a brand new income source with an old friend and will move to the off grid cabin while bring in power to the property and I build my new home in the spring of next year in God's country. Deer, turkeys, grouse, bear, and ducks are all over the property and I am 20 minutes from dozens of lakes.

I have been devouring youtube on off grid gadgets, solar, drilling wells etc. I have not been this alive in years. I love it. Everyone should start a brand new life ever couple of decades!

I have just started a brand new life too. It's called bankruptcy, lol.
That's pretty cool. I have a small 20 acre tract that I live on. I always intended to go the route you're doing, but life kept getting in the way. Good luck bro.
