The Father of Hack squats, and other things I didn't know.

Look at the thickness of this guy, especially his legs.

The Russian Lion, George Hackenschmidt, was an early 20th century strength pioneer who helped develop the way we bench press and train today.
The older I get the better I used to be.

      Good read!

I had always figured he was some old guy who couldn't squat no more so came up with his hack version. Had no idea he was a beast and had such a history, not to mention having such an influence on the bench press exercise coming about.

Can't say I've ever tried a 214lb one arm shoulder press.
