6 or 7 weeks out...............
Last night I was going to compete in the NPA (natural physique association) Mike Williams Classic Pro-Am.
It was close to my home on Canvey Island, and I nearly won their Brit Finals my first year (if I hadn't gotten my ass BANNED for a year for grass, my BAD). I was not ready though, and even though seeing the competition, I would have qualified for the finals in two weeks, it really would not serve me getting on stage in anything less than SHREDDED condition. The comps I am planning on doing: NAC (National Athletic Committee), formerly WABBA. This feddie is fairly big in Europe, and if I qualify, I will be going to the Europeans in Germany two weeks after. November 18th, Birmingham I will be doing figure class, as the figure girls in Europe often come in quite muscular, hard and ripped. The girls doing physique in this class are seriously geared up. AND/OR (I will be getting advice from Kimberly-Anne Jones on this) November 25th UKBFF (like the amateur IFBB in the UK) Stars of Tomorrow You can only compete in this if you haven't done the UKBFF, and if you win your class, you qualify for the Brit Finals the next year. This could be difficult, as I sort of fall between their classes, bodyfitness (really soft looking, not much muscle), and physique. If I don't get to 57 kg (which I think I would lose muscle if I did), I would be going up against the BIG GEARED UP GIRLS). Basics of my diet 3 days low carb, averaged 1800 kcals/day Protein = 210 g/day Fat = 90 g/day Carbs = 50 g/day One day high carbs also around 1800/day Protein = 210 g/day Fat = 30 g/day Carbs = 200 g/day I have a cheat meal once a week till 4 weeks out. Today I had popcorn, old fashioned way, in oil (toasted sesame seed oil). I was a bit shocked at how many calories were in just a bit of popcorn! Stats Weight this morning 62.3 kg - 137 lbs - 9 stone 8 Bodyfat Averages about 16% Have to get the whole body thing done as my upper body is carrying less fat than my lower body, especially this year! Here are a few progress pics from this morning, after cardio (75 min walking on incline) on empty, three days low carbs and no pump.

I had Saturday off, ate loads of calories 2700 kcals, and the next day was cardio only, 60 min walking, and then I went to see Kim in London.
She took me to Nando's (ordered what some of the lads that were competing in the Brits have when dieting and meet her) and we had a giggle and waited for all the text results from the Brits to come in. Kim is unofficially my 'coach', she sorted me out when I first started competing, taught me to pose, has helped a lot with publicity stuff (because of her I have been in the UK Flex mag 5 times), just general knowledge. She competed for about 15 years, including going to Olympia in 1993. She is just the best for support and advice, told me more horror stories about some of the girlies (and the lads) on gear, and of all the girls she has prepped and helped out (this is a who's who of bodybuilders in the UK), she told me that myself and one other woman (who was also in the bodyfitness category at the Brits that day) were the only two 'true' naturals she knew of. I know she really likes that I am taking this route. Besides, the fall out from some of the girls who have taken a lot of gear to compete, and then only compete for a season or two, really, not worth the damage it does. Back full on Monday, 60 min walking cardio then quads. I had some funny pain in my quad the last two times I tried to squat so I didn't do legs the way I would have. Felt good today, but I still took it easy Leg extensions 20 kg 20 reps 25 kg 20 reps x 3 sets Squats 20 kg x 20 reps 40 kg x 25 reps 50 kg x 25 reps 60 kg x 25 reps 70 kg x 20 reps Must admit this was quite easy until the last set, but psychologically, I was concerned about 'pulling' my quad or whatever it was, so didn't push it. I will probably do quads again this week Leg press Close feet placement 50 kg x 20 reps 100 kg x 20 reps x 3 sets Single leg extensions, plate loading Hammerstrength 10 kg x 10 reps for each leg x 4 sets Then I did a bit of abs, just crunches 4 sets of erm, forget and then side bends with 7 kg, 4 sets 20 reps for each side. It was high carb day yesterday. Must admit, I am really enjoying low carb dieting, easier to 'cook', meals are so much smaller cause 'fat' takes up less space, my hair is shining, and my skin is good. x x x T Off to do cardio on empty!
