    LAB WORK TIP INREFERENCE TO THICKEN BLOOD

    HGB,(HEMOGLOBIN). HGB is the protein in your red blood cells. Carries the oxygen to organs and tissues and transports carbon dioxide from organs and tissue back to lungs.

    HCT,(HEMATOCRIT). Proportion of red blood cells in blood. Hematocrit test, aka PVC TEST means Packed-Cell Volume.

    MCV, (MEAN CORPUSCULAR VOLUME). Measures the average volume of red blood cells in blood. MCV test can be calculated by diving the hematocrit count by of red blood count; RBC in liters.

    MCH, (MEAN CORPUSCULAR HEMOGLOBIN). This test tells the average amount of hemoglobin per red blood cells in body.

    For those on TRT and have sleep apnea. Some time the rise in these levels could be from not using your CPAP and not getting enough air flow during sleep time. Be sure and beware of this IMPORTANT ISSUE.
