Never open a link in anyone's sig. or thread unless you know the person is legit. Many of these spammers have links to where spyware is added or other wise harmful devices maybe added.

A while ago, I clicked on a link that I thought was sent by DHL (I was waiting for a package) ... within minutes, my netbook was infected by trojan horses. I had to pay a tech guy $50 to clean it up!Comment

and emails are the worst, they are getting really creative in realistic emails trying to get you to click on the link or open a file. here is a tip, if you get one of these antivirus 2010 spyware attacks or similar, try a system restore to a previous healthy date, this can buy you some time to do a comprehensive spyware and virus check. had a system come through the shop the other week that had a record 1300 viruses on it!!
