When you have a bruise due to having vein surgery is hot or cold compresses applied? I forgot for circulation if it is hot or cold. thanks!

Heat increases circulation, cold reduces swelling.

Right on!! And depending on where your surgery was, also consider elevation above the heart. also will reduce swelling and pain.

Its gone down considerably, but still some dark brusing. tnx! It was the scelora (sp) vein. the major one that goes down the inner thigh. It was just under the knee on the side.
