Hello everyone, my name is Ima, I just turned 41 today and although I have been working out for several years I have set my goal on a figure competition in March 2008 so that's what is driving me to kick ass, get in the best shape of my life, ignore ice cream and put up with my own protein farts! LOL
I am originally from the Netherlands and a transplant in the USA for the last 10years. In my youth I did gymnastics, field hockey and a little bit of tennis, then discovered rock climbing and became a rock climbing instructor in an indoor gym. After that I worked as a free-lance outdoor instructor, hiking, biking, climbing, rafting and spelunking before I came to the States to live the couch potato life.
It took a different mind set to get me into a gym as I was not used to working out other then for the sport that you're training for, not as a goal itself. Now I am hooked and have made it my lifestyle.
I still have a long way to go, much to learn and even more to improve but I am enjoying the process and the road to my goals as much as reaching them.
It's good to be here and see many familiar faces and I am looking forward to getting to know those that I don't know yet.
