How Much Protein are you Actually Getting?

Ever wonder how much protein your are actually getting in a single scoop of your favorite supplemental whey protein. Well there is a formula to find this out how much you ARE getting and how much is crap fillers.

Its very simple. Say one scoop has 25g of protein per the label claim. You take that 25g and divide by the amount of weight in that scoop or serving size. This can be found by the 'Servings per container' claim.

Say you have that 25g and the serving size is 34g. 25/34=73.5%. So of that scoop 73.5% is protein and 26.5% is fillers.

Here is an extremely popular brand and you will be surprised!

5 Lbs. Banana
Serving Size About 1 Scoop (47g)

Calcium 200 mg 15%
Potassium 180 mg 4%
Phosphorus 120 mg 10%
Magnesium 20 mg 4%

22/47=46.8%.....IN ONE SCOOP MORE THAN HALF OF IT IS CRAP FILLERS!!!!!

Heres another and check out the difference.

I just noticed that on the latest jug I bought. The grams per scoop was way lower. I guess you need to compare before you think you are getting a good deal on one.
