A. Multiply your body weight by 0.732.
B. Add this number to 8.987. (Save this number)
C. Measure the circumference to your wrist at its widest point, and divide the circumference by 3.14 to determine your wrist's diameter.
D. Multiply your abdominal circumference (just above the belly button) by 0.157.
E. Multiply your hip circumference (measure at the widest point) by 0.249.
F. Multiply your forearm circumference (measure at the widest point) by 0.434.
G. Add the numbers obtained in steps two and three.
H. Subtract the number obtained in step four from that obtained in step seven.
I. Subtract the number obtained in step five from that obtained in step eight.
J. Add the number obtained in step six too that obtained in step nine. This number is your "lean" body weight.
K. To obtan your body-fat percentage, subtract your lean body weight from your total body weight. Multiply that number by 100, and then divide the product by your total body weight.
Example
You weigh 130 lbs, your wrist is 6.25 in, abs are 27 in, hips are 38 in, and forearm is 10 in.
Step One: 130 x 0.732 = 95.160
Step Two: 96.16 + 8.987 = 104.147
Step Three: 6.25 / 3.14 = 1.990
Step Four: 27.0 x 0.157 = 4.239
Step Five: 38 x 0.249 = 9.462
Step Six: 10 x 0.434 = 4.340
Step Seven: 104.147 + 1.990 = 106.137
Step Eight: 106.137 - 4.239 = 101.898
Step Nine: 101.898 - 9.462 = 92.436
Step Ten: 92.436 + 4.340 = 96.776 (Your LBM)
Step Eleven: (130 - 96.776) x 100 = 3322.4: 3322.4 / 130 = 25.556
Your body-fat percentage is 25.556
