diabetes can theoretically foster conditons favorable for thrombosis, I think it's safe to say the destruction upon his vital organs from the drug usage and relentless synthol contributed to many things.

I saw the video with Shawn ray who may have been the one to say it was diabetes but upon further digging and reading I believe a few guys got more specific and said that flex had deep vein thrombosis and his leg was dying.

Likely a combination as well. If he had diabetes it could have made it more severe hence they needed to cut his leg off
