    Some Nubi Diet and Training tips

    1- Eat for fuel! Make sure you are eating for what you are going to do, not for what you have already done! This basically means eat more during the active part of your day. Eat to live. Do not live to eat to live

    2- Eliminate processed foods to avoid the " empty calories" of saturated fats, added sugar, Don't eat foods high in saturated fat and complex carbs such as pasta, white bread, white potatoes when trying to lose weight/bodyfat, which most of us ladies are always doing :blink:

    3- Do not skip meals when trying to lose weight. This will throw your metabolism off balance. When that happens, the body will adapt a defense mechanism by holding on to fat to protect itself. The body will burn what muscle you have for energy and save the fat for just in case :unsure:

    4- Keep a nutritional calorie journal. By measuring your caloric intake, you will know whether to add or take away. Take note of how you feel after eating different types of food. Do you feel energetic, sleepy, full, constipated etc

    5- Before grocery shopping, make a list! (Don't fall for the gimmicks) Stick to your list! You'll eat healthier. READ labels for nutritional information on products when grocery shopping!! This is VERY important, be especially aware of the fat and sodium content :huh:

    6- Eat four to six small meals a day instead of three large meals. The body will burn the calories more efficiently and the craving for food will not be as great

    7- Never wait until you are starving before having a meal. You are most likely to overeat during that time :eatit:

    8- DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!!! :drool:

    9- Write down the reasons you want to lose weight or other goals you have. Review and update it weekly B)

    10- Teach yourself to like healthy foods and dislike unhealthy ones ^_^

    11- There is no quick-fix answer/solution to a weight problem.... weight gain usually occurs over a period of years, so quit trying to lose weight fast and aim for slow steady weight loss instead

    12- Fad diets, unbalanced diets DO NOT WORK!! :wacko:

    Those are really good NB.

    What also helps me when I go grocery shopping is to stick to the outer aisles. They usually have all the processed foods and junk food in the middle.

      I would add that you should go grocery shopping on a full stomach! If u feel the slightest pang of hunger u might buy something you shouldn't! We eat with our eyes!!
