Well are you lookin' for an alternative for carb content, fiber content or both? I myself can count on one hand how many times I've eaten oatmeal haha. Typical breakfast here would be eggs, bacon & wheat bread toasted, or eggs, bacon & white/brown rice. You'll get the carbs from rice, but little fiber. Might sound crazy doing rice for breakfast, but I became used to it when I moved to Philippines, and it actually goes rather well as a side with eggs.
I've been eating rice for breakfast. Sometimes it is my breakfast shake which consists of egg whites, rice flour, creatine, aminos, and flavoring. It's a great bomb 15 min after the early am GHRP shot.
Rice, pancakes, fruits. You could always do a Coleman with grits. If you or your wife have the time to cook it, nothing beats fried potatoes with green pepper & onions in extra virgin olive oil - some good eatin' there!
Oatmeal, hmm yogurt, rice cakes . Wheat? Pancakes. I think wheAt or I'll check if u don't like the taste of oatmeal. I have bro who put plain scoup of oatmeal protein n blender chug lol
Cream of rice or wheat. I also like whole grain toast, something mixed with greek yogurt, corn tortillas, milk, lol.
Have you seen John Meadows cream of rice pre-workout meal that he does? It may work for ya at this time too.
My dear ol' mom (RIP) made me sit at the table all evening until I would finish that creme of wheat when I was like 6 y.o. Ever since then, when I see it in the store, I look at it like it's the devil and feel like Im on tren for a second or 2. Also, sometimes when I see a black dude that looks like the guy on the box, I have flashbacks.
