Yeah, over hand/underhand grip. Just trying to get some reps in and holding the bar in the lock out position for a minimum of 15 seconds. Also doing finger roll wrist curls where you roll the weight down as far as you can on your fingers then roll it back up into the supinated position.

Rest Day. Tired and sore. Food, sleep, and maybe some sex if mama's in the mood later.

Abbreviated leg training due to time constraints.
Squats - warm-ups, 585x8, 585x8, 635x5, 585x8, 585x8 Then did some calf raises, leg extensions, and some leg curls. Having a hard time shaking this BB'er mentality. I have to feel the pump or I don't feel like I've done anything! |

Thanks for the kind comments.
Well if that's the case I'll get it checked out after this Meet in February. Unless something bad happens first. But on lower body I always wear a belt and keep it tight around my belly button. |

Chest training today. Was very weak so modified the training routine. I had taken a two and a half hour nap before training, so I was not fully functional at the time I think.
Flat bench - warm-ups, 405x12, 455x10, 475x7 (here is where my strength began to drop), 475x5, 475x6, 475x6 Inclines - 405x8 for 5 sets. Got a good stretch on the inclines. But still felt weak. |

I would give yourself 10 days of light volume workouts before the meet. You can manage your maxes with strategic openners.

Got my riles and regs today for the meet. I'll have to buy a power lifter suit and a new weight belt. The two belts I use are not legal. One is velcro, which I love, the other has a 8-9" back and is too wide.
I asked if I could lift in shorts and a sweatshirt and they said this is a professional meet and I should conduct myself accordingly. This should be interesting. |

I can only hope.
Back is sore. I think I tweaked it trying the 675 dead. Wife tried to massage it last night, but she's blonde and not the brightest light in the lamp. Doesn't really understand what deep tissue massage means. She thinks that's when I go all the way in. Bless her little heart. |
