According to Romano, who worked out with Lyle Alzado for 2 years, and they hung out alot - that Alzado died from that disease/virus (forget the name, it's in the vid) that one could get from running GH from infected cadavers. Guess it causes something called "prions" in the brain, which cause tumors and no cure for it. So in fact, he DID die from gear related shit - not directly, but indirectly via the virus from bad cadaver GH. Romano said Lyle was NOT gay, as many had stated thinking it was an AIDS related thing. Dave explained the type of tumors he had from that cadaver virus was commonly seen back then with AIDS patients, hence the wrong speculation that he was gay.
I enjoy listening to these guys - Dave brings alot of science & translates it in laymans, and John has a shitload of stories/anecdotal stuff from being around the 80's/90's bb scene.
