Cristina Blackwell was born in San Antonio to a Spanish-speaking mother from New Mexico and an English-speaking father from Alabama. Being bilingual helped Blackwell land a job on Despierta San Antonio before being hired by Univision. After several years at Univision, Blackwell was hired at KENS-TV’s Great Day SA in San Antonio.
