I tried to find an incredible article I posted on another site a couple years ago that addressed exactly your questions but I have yet to find it. From memory, 1.5 - 2 IU a day in a youthful male diminishing to almost nothing at our age. This article claimed there was much conflict as to whether exo decreased endo but after 40 there isn't much endo to be concerned with anyway. It cited a couple of studies that had polar opposite conclusions as to whether injecting reduced natural production and all the science of the arguments for each.
