This is the Basilico di San Giovanni. It is the major church of Rome. it dates back to the 4th century when it was probably built as a Roman Pagan church. through the ages a multitude of rich families and popes donated riched to built the basilica.

this last one is obviously the Roman Colosseum as viewed from parco di Traiano.

Pretty cool bro. Brings me back many happy memories.
Cant remember if I told you but good eating where you may bump into Vaticanista, maybe even Francis himself as I hear he is out and about:

                      La Pigna

                      Taverna Giulia (Pricey$$$)

                      Oliphant...near the Piazza San Eustachio

                      Abruzzi- Piazza Santi Apostoli

Two hills to see the city from: The Aventine Hill and the Gianicolo Hill. Incredible views!

When you go to St. Peter's say a prayer for Willi!

PM me anything I can help with. Have fun bro!

There are masses in St. Peter's everyday beginning at 6am. Most are celebrated by priests at the Circumference Altars (those around the interior walls of the Basilica) When the Basilica opens at 7am, visitors are usually welcome to attend those. On Sunday there is a a large mass at either 10 or 10:30...at the Altar of the chair of St. Peter (Center...back wall) willi's memory is fading.
