That is so true in any circumstance where you have an encounter with LE. They are not there to chat with you.
EVERYTHING you say is ammunition that can be used against you. I don't care how innocent or how inane the question is STFU. I have received traffic tickets before where not a single word was exchanged. It matters not if you are entirely completely 100% innocent. Talking can get you in a pickle that is expensive and time consuming to work your way out of. They may be looking for somebody else the moment you have an encounter. Then when they ask where you are coming from you might by coincidence be coming from the area a suspect was, that looks like you, has car like you, accompanied by a woman that looks like you GF/Wife. They want to catch someone, that is their job. That is all it takes to get yourself into a mess. STFU.The older I get the better I used to be.Comment
