As a rule of thumb in my opinion lift and diet to get your bodyfat down before you start your cycle. Diet is king though and dictates 80% of where you are going and all the rest is 20%. You can't out train a lazy diet. I love watching people do ab workouts constantly at the gym and later on that night I bet they grab a tub of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream out of the freezer. I do abs when I get bored I keep my core strong with the big compound lifts.
