I think it's a great idea! Maybe buffness could come up with some little prize? This is being done on another board I am on. The top 10 posters are put up for the members to vote on. It doesn't have to be done exactly like that, but something similar. In that one, mods and admin are excluded. That's only fair.

I think vBulletin has a hack to create an "awards showcase" for the members that displays with each of their posts - at least I've seen it on other boards. A person that is voted member of the month could get a little trophy added to their award showcase.
