What are your favorite foods or recipes while cutting

I have been cutting for 2 months and I am happy with the results but I am getting in a rut with limited variety.

What are some of the favorite foods and recipes the rest of our gang uses when cutting?

I have been doing high protein meals with lots of low carb vegetables. I just eat what ever fruits I want without much attention to the calories or carbs between meals. I also eat the lower calorie protein bars between meals. I have been eating a lot of greek yogurt as well. I just don't mix in the sugared fruit cup with the yogurt side. I eat it plain.

I did invent my own treat that actually comes out awesome. I make homemade frozen yogurt. Skim milk, Vanilla low fat yogurt, whey protien isolate from Sprouts Market (excellent but expensive) vanilla flavoring, cocoa powder and a couple teaspoons of unrefined sugar. Mix and toss in a ice cream maker. It is better than any protein product on the market. The whey powder froths up and makes it really light and creamy. This stuff would sell commercially.

Help me out guys, I needs some new ideas.
The older I get the better I used to be.

I don't eat fruit or protein bars when cutting. I eat mostly egg whites, low fat meat, chicken breast and some veggies. I use a lot of supplements and powders.

Ill eat fruit, but only after a workout or run. I have a shake and some fruit. Dairy is kept to a minimum.(Very little, to none) I usually just eat a lot of grilled chicken, ground beef, sweet potatoes , brown rice, and green veggies. They key is knowing what you need for calories, and eating below maintenance or creating a deficit(cardio). Now you don't have to count every single calorie, but you need to be within reason of your requirements. EX: (without daily activity level) If your LBM needs 2000 calories to maintain itself, then you need to burn calories to be below that. Some guys say you can just eat less and burn fat,(maybe if you're taking something) but I think that's complete BS. Increasing your heart rate causes thermogenesis, and the only way to do that is cardio. So figure out your needs and get your diet in check. If your 196 your LBM is probably around 170 based off your avi pic. So if you want to be at 10% bf your goal weight should be 187.

You should really start paying attention to snacking between meals, if you eat 5-6 times a day. Most likely you don't need the calories. A lot of guys eat way more than what they actually need to for their goals. Portion control is huge. It is a fine line between dropping fat, and just losing weight. If you're losing weight and don't see any change in composition, you're probably burning muscle because it's easier to metabolize, but that would be under eating, which would also cause your body to store more fat because it's not getting enough food.

You can do all the cardio in the world but if you're not creating a deficit to your requirements you will not make much progress. If you eat say 3000 calories a day, but your LBM only needs 2500. You do your cardio and burn 500 calories if you're lucky. Then you're at 2500. So you did your cardio to maintain where you are. It didn't do anything to get you closer to your goal of getting leaner. This is why it is super important to know your requirements. Some guys are just gifted and can eat whatever and stay lean, but most us not quite.

I doubt he will be 10% losing only 9 lbs based on the leg pic he posted. Tbh, really need to see a midsection pic to be more accurate - hard to go off the avi or leg pic solo.

Lean ground turkey - I eat it plain or with sauted onions & A1 or Worcestshire sauce.

Chicken breasts, lean beef, sweet potatoes, asparagus, spinach, leafy salads.

Gotta be careful with the type of fruits & quantity you eat. Some have quite a bit of carbs, ie bananas, oranges, etc. Moderation is key. This will be more important however once you get leaner and really hit a wall.

Cardio cardio cardio. Getting ripped isn't easy & you WILL be uncomfortable & hungry often. Get used to it.
