BJJ GETS NATIONAL TV EXPOSURE
Discovery Channel to Feature BJJ
On July 21st and 22nd, the Discovery Channel will air a four-part series on martial arts around the world entitled Go Warrior. Hosted by lifelong martial artist Roland Osborne, Go Warrior will feature one martial art during each episode. The arts to be included are tae kwon do from Korea, the Russian Systema, Japan's aikido and Brazilian Jiujitsu.
The episode featuring Brazilian Jiujitsu should be of particular
interest to mixed martial arts fans and practitioners as it is one of the arts that are integral in the sport. Of course, the Brazilian
Jiujitsu episode features the Gracie version of the system.
Filmed in Rio de Janero, Go Warrior studied the Brazilian style from Royler Gracie. Known as one of the most technical fighters in the Gracie clan, Royler carries a mixed martial arts record of 3-2-1 with his only losses being handed to him by Genki Sudo and Kazushi Sakuraba.
