    Scariest movie ever?

What's the scariest movie you ever seen? I ask bcoz there was a show on TV last night talking about the 13 scariest movies of all time. I thought they got it wayyy wrong - it was some snowflakes giving their BS takes.

For me, without a doubt, it was the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 1974. My sis and her bf were going to see it at the drive in. I was 10 and begged my mom and sis if I could go. Nobody knew it would be so horrific of course. So I went, and after seeing it I slept in my parents room for the next month haha! I would put Psycho a distant 2nd.

    What about ya'll?

Exorcist for me or Amityville maybe. The Conjuring had some moments that reminded me of those chilling moments of the older, well-done horror films you just don't seem to see anymore. Or maybe I'm just jaded. Moreso now it seems like movies that espouse torture porn are considered "horror."

I was going to say Teletubbies, but figured it would be the popular choice, so i'm going with something else to be 'different.'

When I was a kid, the movie that eff'd me up the most was that movie called The Changeling. About that murdered little handi-cap boy in a wheelchair (By his father), who later haunts the house he died in.

I was one of the naïve idiots who thought The Blair Witch Project was real, so I thought it was super scary...…..UNTIL, I found out it was fake as crap.

I agree with the Conjuring, it was pretty good for a recent movie. I liked the recent remake of IT.

I really liked Insidious as well. It might be my favorite in recent times.

When it first came out the Exorcist had me sleeping with a light on for a while. Then Jaws. I was afraid to go surfing for a long time after that.
More recently, Annabelle Creation was scary.

You know as a kid of the 80's I loved horror movies growing up and can't really remember ever being truly scared...now as I get older I'm a big baby and don't like anything scary really lol.

I do remember Children of the corn being scary as a kid....as an adult while it didn't really scare me, Gothika was unnerving in the sense of realism....imagining being in an insane asylum when you don't belong there....no thanks
