Your pec ties into the same area as your bicep. I tore a pec in 98 and in doing so also blew out my bicep when the tendon came off the bone.
You can have a muscle to tendon tear in the armpit area, its common and you may or may not see bleeding from it. If you have full range of motion to the front, that would rule out shoulder issues, I think.
The only way to tell is with an mri my friend.
