    Warning Signs Of A Scammer

    Warning Signs Of A Scammer!

Here are 16 pointers that will help you spot a scammer. Note: Just because one or more of the following describe a possible source, it does not guarantee that the source is a scammer. Never accuse anyone of being a scammer unless there is proof, don't start calling someone a scammer because "you" feel they are.

    1. Unknown References***
    2. Unbelievable prices - Can be both high prices and low prices.
    3. "Specials" that seem to keep carrying on longer and longer.
    4. The source continuously emails you asking if you are going to buy something.
    5. Someone you never heard of is posting, claiming that they got gear from the source.
    6. Products that don't even exist are on his list of products.
    7. The sources answers keep changing when the same questions are asked.
    8. People saying they never got their gear, and the source making up excuses why it hasn't arrived yet.
    9. He tells you he's the source for many of the top bodybuilders.
    10. Receiving unsolicited emails- a good source does not need to solicit he has a clientele all his own...
    11. Someone willing to front you the gear with half the money up front.
    12. Incorrect spelling of names of gear ie:sosstenin, dibol, deka , dionnobal etc...
    13. Sending money Western Union to any-town , any-state USA!
    14. You ask them a question in e-mail and within 20 seconds you have a reply in your inbox.
    15. When their list contains every type of gear in the world and they say that 'everything' is in stock.
    16. The address to send the money to is BC, Canada. It's a hot spot for scammers.

Now if you have found a possible source, there are a few things you can do to verify his legitimacy:

    • If you are on any message boards or chat lines that have to do with anabolic steroids, PRIVATELY, ask veterans or moderators if they know the source.

    • If absolutely no information can be found on the source, you can do one of two things:

    • Test the source with a small order. ie. 5 amps of something.

    • Forget about the source and try and find a new one.

    • NEVER SEND MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. Meaning: Do not send a large sum of money, if it turns out to be a scammer, you won't have any money left to try another source.

    *** References

Just because someone gives you this big long list of references and they all look like names of people you have heard of before doesn't mean a thing if you don't check them out....
now you have sent an email to 7 people and 3 respond and say he’s good to go...
what is the next step do you know any of them...
well then they could be just addy's that the scamming source has made up and is sending you a reply to...
so lets go a step farther (hey it's your money) ask a Vet or a Mod at a forum if they know not only the source but the references that he gave you...

Feel free to add to the list... bmf2

So is it normal if you email a source with payment info at night time and you recieve no reply from him the next day or that night even if you emailed him one more time to know what was up that next day?
Also how many days should one wait if he has had no response from the source before calling it a scam or the souce a scammer?

To call someone a scammer you need to give him/her time to fill the order. Get a mod or 2 to work as a mediator. Make sure you keep all your contacts with the source so you can e-mail them to the mod(s) you have mediating for you.

Why is a quick resonse a warning sign of a scammer? I would think that a good source would try to stay ontop of their orders and want to give their customers attention as soon as possible.
