Things you enjoy about being OFF cycle

So everybody likes to talk about what we love about being ON cycle, but rarely about when OFF cycle. I've been OFF for about 6 weeks or so. Not OFF 100%, but TRT only - test e @ 150mg ew. The things that suck is the loss of strength and the weight drop after being OFF for about 4 weeks. I'm down from 260 to 250 now. Obviously, that shiznit happens when we go OFF or cut back dramatically. My last cycle was a 12 weeker of test @ 500mg ew and anavar @ 50mg ed (for 8 of those weeks).

Now the good stuff. Even though that was a rather mild cycle I recently ran, noticeable things are a drop in heart rate and blood pressure. I can now cut the grass without my lower back getting soooo tight and cramping up after only 10 minutes at it. I can brush my teeth, shave, take a shower without my biceps or pecs pumping up & cramping after only 2 minutes into it. I can bang the ol' lady Rover style without my lats cramping up after only 5 minutes into it and having to switch positions. I attribute all the cramping to the var - best damn var I ever had btw.

Another bonus is my appetite isn't as much as when ON. Don't get me wrong - I still try to get in enough cals and macros to maintain, but I don't feel nearly as hungry, so I can eat smaller portions and get full, and also I don't feel the need to eat something when I wake up in the middle of the night to piss bcoz I'm so hungry.

A few other things: I don't get winded as fast. I don't get crippling pumps after only 2 sets in the gym, sometimes even on warm-ups. My stomach bloat goes down, and I feel like I can do a vacuum much easier. I fall asleep faster, and more soundly to boot. While not nearly as vascular and full, I can see separation between the muscles better, mainly between the bis and tris when flexed like in a front bi shot. Guess that's why all the pros drop damn near everything 2 weeks out - to lose the water, even be it ever so small.

Oh yeah, another goodie is the sitting back and methodically calculating - while frothing, grant you - of what we're gonna run come NEXT cycle.lol

That's all I can think of for now. Ya'll chime in and add your experiences about the positives of being OFF.

Nothing! Lol. I used to take such huge cycles that I felt shitty and I would look forward to coming off. Now that I’m not throwing the kitchen sink at it I love feeling on, like when I fist started. Although I do often have to use my cpap when I’m cycle still. Seems once I get over 200lbs my sleep apnea kicks in. So that’s one nice thing about being off. I guess another would be handling stressful situations better. I’m less likely to snap. I’m also not hounding the wife for booty. I won’t use Anavar anymore because of that cramping. I work with my hands and they would lock up just turning a screwdriver! No bueno! Not poking myself every other day is definitely a plus when off too. I usually feel less motivated when off cycle too but I think I had other issues going on and I’m hoping that won’t be an issue anymore. And not just in the gym but with everything. Trying to take better care of my body these days.

I haven’t been completely off for a few decades. The only oral that I use is var. I watch my blood work closely. I’m going in next Tuesday for a complete blood work up.

I’m on trt too. But there’s a noticeable difference from trt and a cycle. You know?

Mmmm trying to think really the benefits now that I only do small doses

The best is likely the sleep- I don’t sleep well but when I’m off and a little lighter I sleep through the night- currently get a few hours and toss and turn the rest of the night

How about TRT - do you drop back to TRT doses (200mg test ew or less) every so often between cycles or no?

My trt dose is about 600mgs/wk otherwise I don't feel it. For a very long time I have suspected that I don't utilize AAS as well as most men do.

Interesting. I know a couple guys with the same response. Does your bloodwork show elevated levels or does the higher dose keep u in normal range? If u don’t mind sharing. I’ve seen both. One guy that bloodwork was always low considering his doses. And then one guy that just didn’t get any side effects or any strength gains or anything from normal blast doses. He said he had to take ridiculous amounts and everyone was saying it was cause he wasn’t eating or training right. But when he laid it all out and started a log some of us were convinced he was just a low responder. We did convince him to lower his doses though. He was running like 3000mg a week and shit. And bloodwork always looked good. It was crazy. He would cruise on like 600mg. But he was way smaller than you Lifts.

My blood work normally is pretty good. I show pretty high test levels on a gram between 2 and 3 k. I always get pretty strong but lose muscle quickly if I drop much below a gram. My strength has always been good. Putting on and maintaining size has always been a struggle.

                        You beat me to it

I will go low but not as low as trt. I like to run low deca, low eq or both with low test.

I wouldn't call blood levels of 2000-3000 high considering it's a gram of test. Mine was 4600 on 750mg ew. I've seen many bloods posted over the years showing similar results as mine. I'd say yours is actually pretty low for running a gram. Prolly explains why you need 600mg min just to maintain. Reminds me of a dude over at WCBB who needs to run trt at 400mg ew just to get 1000 blood level.

Haha well I have a 9 y.o kid to raise and I'm 57, so priorities. Plus I've always responded well to low doses. I mean yeah I shrink a bit, lose some strength and veins, but 150mg ew still let's me maintain 245-250 lbs pretty easy. Last cycle I was up to 262, pretty hard and veiny on 500mg test and 50mg var. I had 200mg deca in there bcoz killa elbow pain issues, but only for about 5 weeks of that cycle.

Heck if I ran 1.5 g of gear like I did once 15 years ago (test/deca/tren e) I'd be back up to 280 - but not a healthy feeling, although strong and big. So yeah, I'll stick to my 12 week small cycles and 12 week true trt dose.

More apparent and intense connection to my ethereal body and feelings of getting metaphysical psychic downloads from the Universe that help me to realize who I really am and the role I'm playing here on earth as if I was an actor in a play
