My 'Board' PSA abt my PSA........

Hey guys, recently I've had some regular yearly blood word done on basics including PSA...

    Alil back story abt myself....
I consider myself and athlete still. Been using since mid 30s on and off. Now adays I come off roughly 2x a year. Completely off. Coming down to the off period I cruise very lightly. I've used all the basics from Dball in the beginning, teat, Equality, deca, npp, alil tren and winny. Probably won't do winny again... Too harsh on lipids..
Anyways recent blood work test showed a rise in PSA. 4 years prior 2019 psa was 2.51. This past result showed 4.66. Needless to say it caused some concern with my primary care physician. Had prostate chkd by Dr and it was alil large but somewhat normal for my age, mid 50s. Btw I'm a Black male 6'2" I used to hover around 260lbs - 270 pending cycle. Now 240lbs. I'll probably go up to 250 safely tho.. Cleanly
Again with some concern with Dr, he order a chk up with Urologist. They had me pee in a cup and did a Ultrasound on bladder. No urine left in bladder after peeing.

Letme preface this too by saying I've never had trouble urinating. When I had to go, I go. I can hold it of needed. (Spmetimes on job I drive alot pending location). I don't get up constantly at night to pee unless I drink alot of water and my veggie/ fruit smoothie after 7,8pmish. Again no issues.

Urologist told me were gonna retest in 1 month.

I did alot of research of trying to figure what what to do. Started taking Saw Palmetto, eating grape size tomatoes, stopped the high sugary fruits.
Research says, no sex so that includes leave myself alone Hahahaaa. Also riding stationary bikes puts pressure on prostate too.
I thought and though wtf is going on???? Then it dawned on me,,,, I took hcg 3 days prior!!! Researched that and yea hcg does cause a rise in psa levels. Also too, I've been off cycle for abt 2+ months except for hcg.
The Dr states.that normal psa is 2.5 or lower. From all the research I've done, national average normal range for psa is .5 < 4.0. 4.0 - 10.0 is concerning. 11.0 + issues......... But it must be stated that whatever numbers show, that's no guarantee that there is or isn't prostate cancer.
Black males normally have higher psa than white males. As a matter of fact a few charts showed my 4.66 was roughly normal.for black males.

Had my re-test ystrdy (NO HCG since last test and stopped working out 4 days before retest) and results were 3.51!!!

Niiiiiiiiice. My Urologist emailed me the results. Soooooo my rechk with primary is 6 months away. I feel pretty relieved. Will continue with Saw Palmetto, tomatoes ohh and cut down or out b.s. red meat. I need to switch over to grass fed meat.
I learned alot. Testosterone IS NOT the cause for enlarged prostate. It's the lack of because of the rise in estrogen. Teenagers basically NEVER have prostate issues and they're full of test. It's us older men with a LACK OF Testosterone.
I may get some finasteride at some point. It does take a few months for prostate size to shrink. Peeing is and was never an issue. And maybe most importantly, biopsies is a kinda crapshoot in finding cancer.

Hope this helps anyone with similar issues.
Thx in advance for any advice.

Good post and thanks for sharing. My PSA has been creeping up the past 2 years according to the labwork my doc ordered, so soon it will be in the danger zone. Will check out the Saw Palmetto for prostate care.

cialis works wonders with saw p for prostate issues. Also good idea to add an AI when using exo test, my choice is arimidex.

Definitely something we wanna monitor along with everything else in this game of life/gear.
Saw Palmetto, Turmeric and I've included grape sized tomatoes, cut down/out red meat or have grass fed lean moderation.
A gym buddy suggested finasteride. From researching, finasteride once stopped prostate may return to larger size. So I may keep it on hand just incase.

Cialis huh? Interesting. Probably 5mg a day?
I have A dex too. Stopping the excessive estrogen would slow or stop the prostate enlargement, thus stopping urinating issues.
I think I may get some finasteride just to have on hand.
But now, Saw Palmetto is def a staple in my daily supplement intake.
Thx for the chime in knowledge!

I use 10 mgs per day for prostate. Cialis is actually FDA approved for prostate issues. I think the normal dose is 5mgs but I read 10 to 20mgs as needed.

Ohh no shit,,, for real? Cool!! Cialis also would help in blood pressure issues. Actually with myself NOT having prostate/urinating issues, Cialis 5 or 10mgs maybe a great preventative addition. Gonna research that aswell.

              Thx Lifts!

I've had BPH for years. But my psa numbers are always great. But it's always there in the back of my mind. So I understand the concern and relief.

Exactly!!! Especially when other emails come thru while I'm patiently waiting for the results to come thru. It is a relief.
