    the 5x5

    never tried this before. my workouts are getting stale so i am starting this monday.

    here is the link to the program i will be following.


    anyone have experience using the 5x5? i've heard many good things about it....

    Yes i have used it on DB inclines. I know its usually used for power movements but i was doing DB inc at the time and thought what the hell. I did it for about two months and went up 10lbs in weight. If you are doing barbell bench or something, expect much more in gains. DB's arent even comparable to BB's. 10lbs in dumbbells for 5X5 in two months (8 workouts) is pretty decent if you ask me. I wasn't juicing at the time.

    I will be using it in my new program i will be using throughout the wrestling season. Low rep and 5X5 on power movements, and high rep olympic lifts.

      Yes it works well for strength gains it's a classic powerlifting scheme.

          found it very hard to finish the leg/ab and bi/tri days... that will get better i'm sure.
