Alcohol

I know the "right" answer is clearly, you shouldn't drink at all. However, in reality how bad is it really to drink alcohol when running an oral like anavar or winstrol? Assume it is a mild dose (around 25mg per day) and only being run alongside test. Drinking maybe 1-2 nights per week. How much incremental damage will be done on the liver while being "on"?

I's save the daily drinking for when you're not running orals. Perhaps cut it back to just weekends. I dunno, I'm not a doc, but doesn't sound good to drink daily when your liver is already taxed from the orals. Yeah, low dose might not tax it much, but it still isn't doing it any good - don't fool yourself.

I drink a few drinks sometimes on orals but I limit myself to only a few drinks on Saturday. lol with this covid lockdown, it's been nearly a year since I had any alcohol.

I stopped drinking years ago.....probably when I began cycling. Don't get me wrong....I may have one or two here and there....I would say maybe two drinks a month at the most when the wifey and I go out to dindin, but to me drinking alcohol is considered empty calories. When taking orals....its completely cut from my diet. The liver already has enough stress so why would I want to knowing add more.....JMO.

Puff, you and I seem to follow a similar protocol, and I love Anavar. I can't decide whether it or Mast is my favorite. I go low dose for everything, just enough to give me an edge, and Anavar is damn near perfect. That being said, I love drinking, and even with taking 25mg of Anavar every day, along with everything else I take (orally, it's just Proviron, Anavar, and Arimidex), my liver values always come back excellent. Can't say the same for my kidneys, though. Something just feels up with them, even though labs for them come back fine, too. Maybe it's hypochondria.

But like anything else, it's probably going to come down to individual response. I'd think any liver damage would be noticeable on labs, but I have a very layperson knowledge of things.

Other orals I've experimented with are Dbol and Adrol. Dbol made me feel like ass and gave me no perceivable benefits. Adrol, however, made me cocky and stupid in the gym. In spite of absolutely knowing the dangers, I still got out of my head while lifting and got myself injured by lifting too much on a Deadlift, which at this point is cliche. But point is those are highly hepatoxic, and I only did those for a short period of time as an experiment. Anavar, I believe is pretty mild in that regard, and at 25mg a day even moreso (for me anyway it seems.... at least based on labs).

Beef, I'm in late stage kidney disease. My GFR is always higher on trt than off. Of course off try I can't get my dick hard which if you know me is very important. Creatine levels are always higher too. My point is your kidneys might be fine. But the juice is elevating your levels.

I think it’s going to depend on your age and history. I used to never have elevated liver enzymes unless I was on dbol or something at time of bloodtest. Now it’s elevated even without orals for months. I drink once a week on date night. But it’s usually more than a couple.

LoL good to hear but a physical doesn't necessarily tell you much! Unless you're talking about blood work being included as well!

I myself don't drink except when out with friends. It used to be every weekend but now it's once a month at most. I think I caused a lot of stones to form in my liver in my college years as I stayed on orals year round and test always and would rotate in other injectables as I got them. I always felt the worst out of the group the next day.

Stones can form in the liver from the combination of anabolic steroids plus alcohol a dehydrater and liver murker. I'm happy to stay I've gotten a lot out the last year and I feel about 5-7 years younger.

I think you will do what you want ultimately from the way you worded your post. Make sure to take NAC every day and that can offer you a tremendous amount of protection.

Social drinker here. One or two when I go out with dinner but I don’t think I’ve had one in months. Wouldn’t care either way. Even in orals I’m the same

I don’t drink at all for 18 years so I don’t have a dog in this fight, but I don’t believe all orals are equal in this context. On Anavar I doubt it barely matters, that stuff is so mild. Drink and be merry if that’s what you want. Sucks bad for gains and body comp but your liver is barely affected. On the flip side I don’t think I’d have a single drink on Anadrol. That shit makes me piss brown. Dbol, tbol and wini all probabably a thin moderation thing.

My two cents after seeing my blood work on all this shit for a Dozen years or more.

Puff, I think Darkness is spot on. If that's your protocol and your honest assessment of your drinking, I think the organ damage in negligible. I think too, and everyone is assuming you are young, that age & AAS experience plays MAJOR role.
I have been using AAS for 20+ years. My AST is about 120 iu/L and my ALT is about 52 iu/L . These liver enzyme levels aren't crazy high but they DEFINITELY mean I must choose between orals and alcohol !
It's something young guys need to consider. What's "Ok now" may not be so "ok" in 20 years. Just sayin what I wish someone said to me back then....
