    I like the approach you are taking - I'd do the same. No way in heck I would ever be the one to try to get him to try gear, being a parent. If so, any bad repercussions he might suffer from gear down the road, and you would be feeling guilty AF. I wouldn't wanna live with that. However, as you said, IF he ever ponders trying it, he has you there to guide him in the right direction instead of some idiot gym rat that doesn't know dick about it.

      My son is about the same age and trains very seriously now. I would not put him on gear unless he was going to make it a career and I wouldn't recommend that. I would discourage it. Lots of down sides using early. I was in my thirties before I used gear.
      The older I get the better I used to be.
