Yes I've done them, and wouldn't use them as a dead variation. The load is more in line with your body using a trap bar. The positioning of the lift shifts the weight off your lower back and back onto your legs.

It should be called the squatlift and the one problem with using one to replace squats is that it is MUCH harder on CNS and overall recovery.

lol........you crack me up, why are you so against me doing these ??

my back is by far my best bodypart, and trapbar deads are the meat and potatoes om my program, when I worked with IA, he said there was no problem with that if it worked for me, go 4 it.

You almost seem upset that I do them bro, you have said something about it on numerous times. I hate to upset you, but they work for me. No hard feeling bro, ok?......lol

hard feelings, hell no lol. My point is that using a trap bar is more realted to a squat, not a deadlift. If your back is growing off that, image what it'd be like if you dead lifted. Using a trap bar to do "deadlifts", is not deadlifts. The reason your having problems with your rack deads is because you don't deadlift.

Good work on the box squats! Doing them only 4 days apart - I wouldn't be too worried about not getting that extra rep in

good job G4E, as for the deads do whatever is working as nobody has the same biomechanics but buff is on the button as to why your rack deads are low,.
It also depends on which way you have those handles on the bar setup, as if they are rightside up or upside down.
