G-S had this posted on his board, he got this in an email, some of these are strong but so damn true
-----------------------------------------------------

What I've Learned From Watching The News On TV:

1) Hurricane Kiristina only hit black families' property.
2) New Orleans was devastated and no other city was affected by the hurricane.
3) Mississippi is reported to have a tree blown down.
4) New Orleans has no white people.
5) The hurricane blew a limb off a tree in the yard of an Alabama resident.
6) When you are hungry after a hurricane, steal a big screen TV.
7) White folks don't make good news stories.
8) Don't give thanks to the thousands that came to help rescue you, instead bitch & moan because the government hasn't given you a debit card yet.
9) Only black family members got separated in the hurricane rescue efforts.
10) The issued FIMA cards should have a $20,000.00 spending limit.
11) Ignore all the warnings to evacuate and leave the city while white folks come to your aid and give you money for being fuckin stupid.
12) All the residents of New Orleans are all so poor and so black.
13) It is a New Orleans custom to open fire at the rescue workers trying to save you from drowning.
14) Mississippi needs no help

Well, alot of those things can be debated. I will chalk up some things that G-S like's things to be neatly Repulblicanized. I was pretty shocked when my buddy in Jackson, MS told me he was withouth water and power for 2 weeks! That was never mentioned in the media which is somewhat disheartening. Obviously there are stories to be told but things she be told from everyone's perspectives.

News stations are in it for the money. So do you think that people shooting at helicopters are going to sell more ad slots or do you think mississippi being out of water well sell more?

Its all business with news stations. You got to learn to infer the truth from the b.s.

exactly............that is why you can believe about 25% of what you hear on tv or the radio......maybe even less than that

That's exactly why I don't watch it. I don't expect to be entertained by the news, just to get the facts. It's a sad world we live in. When human suffering and tragedy makes money....well, that says a lot.

Shit i never watch the news it's so full of shit. All of the networks just feed everyone so much crap it's not even funny.

somethin recently happend that really botherd me, with the cory liddle tradgey, fox news reported him dead hours b4 people knew what was goin on....news reporters couldnt confirm not just who was in the plane, but who signed out 4 it....& the worst thing was that his wife & son flew comercial 2 la & guess where they heard about the acident? the news....i know people went right back 2 911 once they heard a plane hit somethin in NYC, but y not have all the facts b4 2 tell the world some 1 is dead....unfortunatlly fox was right

& not 2 get all on politcs & start a war, but if u watch anythin thats goin on in the world then watch fox talkin about the same thing, alota xs u think it a diffrent topic & have no clue whats goin on

*ducks*
