Just got some new parts to put on my XR4Ti... both parts are built for the european supercar version of my car - the Sierra RS500. They are direct bolt on parts, which is super nice... the intercooler is HUGE!! Big as the stock radiator. The RS500 radiator is shorter than the factory radiator, but a quite a bit thicker.
Parts arrived today... I can't wait to get them on the car!!
Here are some pics:

This is the intercooler alone...

And this is the radiator alone:

This is the radiator and the intercooler together...

hell yeah Aaron that is sweeet. I had a water injection intercooler back on my old nissan300zx turbo. Damn thing made a huge difference when you cranked up the boost. I also mixed denture alcohol in it:)

Nice. I would still love to get a 300zx to play with once I finish the XR4Ti project. Those cars are so cool.

I'm doing an engine swap next weekend on the XR - dropping in an engine and trans with only 20k miles on them...
That huge IC bolts right in where the air conditioning condensor used to be, the radiator is a direct bolt in to the stock location. I'm so excited to get this project going!!

Just for perspective - the inlet/outlet on that intercooler are 3" diameter... so the thing is HUGE!

damn 3" inlet on your intercooler haha sounds like the size of my exhaust:)

LOL!
I'll be running 2.5" piping under the hood with some silicone transitions to the IC. 3" inlets are a bit overkill!
Car also has a full 3" exhuast that mysteriously looks like a straight through system.

What does the intercooler do?

It cools the air coming out of the turbo before it goes into the engine. The turbo forces in extra air, but it heats it up in the process. The intercooler is like a radiator for the air that is going into the engine. It is also called an aftercooler or an air charge cooler.

haha! over kill! i work on a sea going ferry, and we just fitted six new intercoolers!! each one probably weighed as much as your car! lol. and worst of all, they don,t come in chrome!!
