For some reason, here lately I seem to always be hungry, I eat, 1-1.5 hours later I'm hungry again!

Could this have anything to do with workout intensity?

I have a new gym partner who has 12 years experience on me, and hes been pushing me a lot harder than I've been working out on my own, this new hunger problem started about a week after we began working out. I didn't realize how much more I could actually lift when I had the MOTIVATION and the extra little push I needed to achieve what I thought I couldn't.

It could be that you need to up the calories man. If you're hungry, then you need to feed your body. If you have upped the intensity of your workouts and the hunger started when you did this, then that is your body telling you that you need to give it more fuel to compensate for the increase in activity. It's a difficult balance to find, but you should never be hungry, especially when you are eating every 2-3 hours.

Thanks, I figured that it was my increase in activity, but I wanted to make sure from one of you big guys who know what your doing! Thanks man!

More veggies and whole grains will keep you fuller longer too.

yeah when i work out harder or more i am hungry all the time so def up your intake and like kaje said things that keep you full longer. it's a good sign i think cuz your metabolism is rockin

so how is your progress chad? are you getting there?

I'm working on it, My new gym partner is a lot more experienced than me so it helps out a lot when I have questions or when it comes to my form. I still have a good bit of weight to lose, but I'm busting my butt to gain as much mass as possible, so I will look descent when I cut the weight off. I also realized that I am stronger than I believed I was, I guess I was holding back when I was on my own out of fear of injury or just plain doubt in my abilities. I know its not much but I have gained a quarter inch on my arms and calves since may. I know that with my intensity increasing I will probably get better gains now, hopefully. My diet is still kinda rough, most of the time, I have trouble with controlling what I eat, I want to be a Chef so I really enjoy food, I like rich, robust, foods, especially Italian, German, and Mexican.

Thanks for asking how my training is coming, I appreciate the interest.
