Take this for what its worth: a teacher of mine who was a body builder with 2 masters in exercise physiology and some kinda nutritional degree told me that this was the perfect shake that had possible protein in it. Im not real sure bout the soy. But i figured id pass it to you guys to give it a try.

1 scoop whey
1 scoop soy protein
1 scoop evaporated milk
2 eggs
Some kind of fruit
mixed in milk or water.

Sounds pretty good....but I question the value of the evaporated milk and the fruit. I like casein/whey in a 2-1 ratio. But egg is the gold standard of all proteins and nothing is more anabolic, although liver comes close due more to enzymes and other nutrutional factors than actual protein bv. Whole fresh eggs are so inexpensive and so easy to use, I stopped buying powdered egg protein. I used to mix 2 scoops whey concentrate/1 scoop egg protein and the amino acid profile on this combo is tops.

When I started lifting we had no instantized protein. Used to mix Nu-Life non-instantized Milk & Egg protein with water, and add a couple heaping tablespoons of dessicated liver. You seriously had to hold your nose and gag this stuff down. Sometimes we would even add 3 or 4 raw eggs to up the egg content! :D

Ha damn bro you been in it a while! Yea the fruit was just a choice maybe for like a morning shake. But yea this dude was in his 50's so you like you said it taste like shit:ukeface:

lol, where did this guy get his master's degrees... off a matchbook cover? Soy protein is crap...good on paper, horrible in the body, increases estrogen and messes with the thyroid big time. Why evaporated milk which contains more carbs and fat calories than protein. Raw eggs may cause salmonella as well as the protein in raw eggs can't be fully digested. Also no protein in fruit just sugar.

If lifts say fuck soy, Fuck soy!

Hmm...if I were looking for a shake that was pure protein I would just use pasteurized liquid egg whites and whey protein powder. This would be good for first thing in the morning or immediately after working out as both items are very fast acting.

If I were looking for something to drink before bed then I would have to go with casein protein instead. There is no point in mixing proteins in my opinion. Just try to drink the best protein for your need at the moment.
