15 year old daughter made the squad!

Not sure I agree with that move.... she should play because she made a commitment, and because she truly enjoys the game..... If her hearts not in it she could be going at it half assed and that's how you get hurt.... I don't believe in quitting once a commitment is made but paying for continued attendance doesn't seem the answer...

I coached softball and hockey for many years, the injury issue when they aren't fully committed is a real danger
 
I would never force/con/manipulate my kid to participate in an activity that they don't want to do. Using money as a motivator is the wrong way to go about it. She might be thinking "if dad is actually willing to pay me to stay with it, then he must realllly want me to stick it out" - so doing it for you, not her, and that's the wrong reason. JMO.
 
Nice.. I encourage sport participation in sport. It's good for character and teaches life lessons that carry over.
