Ive been wondering lately if our personalities have much to do with our health goals and success. Of course almost everyone works out at some point, but I mean those who really thrive in the weight room. To me, I notice more and more people I meet at the gym seem to be introverts. I myself am one even..and I think it has helped me in the weight room. By introverted I dont mean a recluse or anything. But just spend more time by yourself to gather your energy back. Instead of needing to be around other people to do the same, as extroverts do. Not saying either is bad. Hell I still like to go out and meet people and all that. But I enjoy my space and alone time just as much. Everyones different I guess.

i am introverted... i have a workout partner even... we say about 5-6 words to each other the whole time

lol everyone is both. But one is dominant over the other. Like I said for instance I still like to go out and meet people and be social. Some people I know might be surprised at how introverted I am though at times. Since theyre so extroverted and dont understand why i need space sometimes..just because. And I tend to like being in smaller groups if possible. As far as weightlifting though..i think its helped me focus more. Even though for some the gym is social hour. I hardly speak when Im there, so people probably know me diferently that I only see there :gay:

We all I assume compare ourselves with others. I have worked out alone and with partners. We all compete don't we?

During my normally live in an introvert, i dont like talking to people, im pretty shitty to my GF, and every other GF/women ive come in contact with

But if i go out in public i act like an ass, very talkative and out going to either:

A) rub people wrong and start fights
B) make situations were u dont know anyone much easier to deal with

lol yeah I try to make an effort to be more outgoing in public too. After awhile though I just get bored out of my mind being in bars or something with a bunch of random people around me. Most people are so fucking boring.

Hmmm,More Introverted,i keep to myself and a select few friends....for the most part MOST people Suck in my opinion,so i dont waste my time with them,and yeh thats from experience,not just talk......I dont like fucking snobs,backstabbers,shit talkers and fucking fake fucks.....Im not a complete Sociopath........ah .......Z

I like my time alone, but I also like crowded bars and such on the weekends. I can't stand going to hunting camps or fishing trips etc. I just don't get into that male bonding stuff.

I've told u many times before..youre a weird kid..:zooze::p

I definately like my alone time.....I am a happy guy given a day with no where to go or nothing to do with no one around......I have very very very few friends, and no training partners(never really had one)....And i like it that way....I do like to interact with people, but always find myself wanting me time more often...

Supposedly intro and extroversion isnt a learned trait but were born with it. 60% of the population is said to be extroverts, and 40% introverts. Since Im bored..heres some Myers-Briggs personality type indicator traits. Both attitudes are used by everyone, but one is usually preferred and better developed.

INTROVERTS:
Essential stimulation is from within- the inner world of thought and reflections.
