Chinese have warned North Korea
WASHINGTON, June 26 (UPI) -- President George Bush says the United States and its allies informed North Korea that launching a long-range missile will be viewed as a provocative act.

Answering reporters questions at the White House Monday, the president said the North Koreans must let the world know their intentions, especially what they have on top of their missile.

"I have made it clear to our partners on this issue -- Japan, South Korea, China and Russia -- that we need to send a focused message to the North Koreans that this launch is provocative," Bush said. "And I was pleased to hear that the Chinese have delivered that message."

He added that he hoped the leader in North Korea would listen to the Chinese.

The president spoke after meeting with organizations that support the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan.
