I boiled 7 chicken breasts. Last night.

question 1:
Does boiling affect the nutritional value of chicken? Protiens?

Question 2:
Is it ok to cook the brown rice in the broth from the boiled chicken? It will not add a bunch of unwanted fats and shit will it?

I mix the chicken and rice together, It taste great.

I never boiled chicken...now are you talking about broiling.....I either use my foreman grill, bake or microwave...never boil....not sure if it looses protein if you boil...why boil...and yes the broth from the chicken and rice is ok...(just a bit more sodium)if you dont have a george foreman grill get one...its worth its weight in gold as far as grilling fast and easy......

boiling the chicken removes all the sodium.. good for precomp.. putting rice in the now sodium filled water isnt a good idea and sorta defeats the purpose hehe

I slice mine into strips and fry in the pan with zuccinni and mushrooms....The veggies lube up the skillit enough.....

Black this is also great with wild salmon. You can get a bag of four at Walmart for less than $5, boil a cup of brown rice and have enough four two meals. I like Pacific Salmon instead of Tuna because of the mercury content. Cold water fish is always better and better for ya.

To answer your question, it doesn't take very long for a boneless breast to cook, so I would take the time to do them seperate. Grab a container of Southern seasoning (made in Dallas Co, Al.) and sprinkle on your chicken, fish, whatever.

(If you have rice left over you can always grab a small can of salmon and add to it for on the go).

sodium has never been a problem in a bodybuilding..thats another MYTH people fear for no reason ..Ok, sodium makes u hold water but water is very easy to get rid of..it takes days , maybe hrs..as a matter of fact those who restric sodium tend to hold more water bevcause their bodies arent accostum to it ,so any little sodium they eat will cause a huge water retention.

my advice is dont worry about sodium until week one week out of your competition or "special day".
